Jon Wingard, a Scan Eagle operator and maintainer from Insitu Group, places an Scan Eagle unmanned aerial vehicle on its stand aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45). Scan Eagle is a runway independent, long-endurance, unmanned aerial vehicle system designed to provide multiple surveillance, reconnaissance data, and battlefield damage assessment missions.
