CC-115 Buffalo

In May of 1965 the US Army invited 25 aircraft manufacturers to submit proposals for a STOL tactical transport. The competition was won by de Havilland Canada and led to the Buffalo, basically a modernized Caribou with a bigger payload but retaining and improving the STOL characteristics of its predecessor.
